HR Officer

We are recruiting a HR officer to work within our HR team.

Salary £20-£22,000 depending on experience.

We recognise that our people are the key to our success.The role will be working alongside our Head of HR and HR Assistant to help deliver a comprehensive HR service to our teams. We have ambitious growth plans and this role will continue to grow with the business so we are looking for a candidate who is keen to develop their skills and experience.

Initially, the main aim of the role is to carry out transactional HR tasks, including:

  • Employee surveys
  • Sickness monitoring, reasonable adjustments and risk assessments
  • Changes to contracts
  • Working with our HR Assistant to manage new starter and leaver processes, including second stage pre-employment checks to meet our stakeholder requirements
  • Supporting with disciplinaries and grievances
  • Reviewing policies, job descriptions and standard documents
  • Ensuring regulatory and legal compliance
  • Assisting with recruitment, including attending interviews and updating career pages
  • Providing general HR advice to team members
  • Liaising with line managers to manage performance issues
  • Embracing technology to promote performance and growth
  • Promoting equality, health and safety and wellbeing in the work place

 

Person Specification

We are looking for someone with exceptional people and communication skills. The successful candidate will be:

  • Organised, able to prioritise, forward-plan, meet deadlines and have excellent record keeping skills;
  • Warm but assertive, energetic and enthusiastic with a positive attitude;
  • Confident and resilient with a professional demeanour;
  • Flexible and open-minded;
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and ensure adherence to GDPR;
  • Willing to travel within the U.K. on occasion;
  • Able to make decisions considering all relevant factors and risks;

Qualifications or Experience

The successful candidate will have:

  • A good standard of Maths and English.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages
  • Ideally, a CIPD qualification (level 3 or above) with experience of working in an HR role.
  • Experience of working within an environment of rapid growth and change would be an advantage

Assistant Head of Surveyor Management

Salary £25-£30,000 depending on experience.

The role will be working alongside our Head of Surveyor Management to help manage the office-based Surveyor Management Team. This is a role that will continue to grow and we are looking for the right candidate who will be keen to develop their skills and experience.

Initially, the main aims of the role are:

  • To manage the team, driving results through effective people management skills, including 1:1s, KPI setting, team meetings and performance appraisals.
  • Continuous improvement of working procedures and best practice.
  • To ensure our services meet our high standards for quality and timely delivery.
  • To work alongside the Head of Surveyor Management, deputising in their absence, and continuing to develop skills and experience.

 

Person Specification

We are looking for someone with exceptional people management skills and a passion for people development. They must be able to utilise different leadership styles in different situations. The successful candidate will be:

  • Organised, able to prioritise, work across multiple projects, forward-plan and meet deadlines;

Qualifications or Experience

The successful candidate will have:

Ideally a Performance Management qualification or coaching and mentoring qualification or HR qualification.

  • Experience of providing a business to business service as well as the end customer.

Experience of working within an environment of rapid growth and change would be an advantage

Marketing Assistant – Content Writer (Initial 6-month contract)

Working alongside the Digital Marketer to enhance our visibility and brand presence across our 3 / 4 websites and associated Social Media platforms. Predominantly writing content for our websites https://www.whitehorsesurveyors.co.uk/, https://www.homebuyhub.com/ and https://www.commercialsurveyorsdirect.co.uk/ and creating and posting across all SM channels.

Tasks:

  • Support the development of all websites (WordPress) with content, images etc alongside our Digital Agency & our inhouse Digital Marketeer
  • Help write content for the websites / social media content with support and guidance.
  • Support email marketing campaigns.
  • Help with SEO by working with the Digital Marketer with Google Analytics and Google Ad words and help with reporting.
  • Help provide accurate reports and analysis to company management to demonstrate effective return on investment (ROI).
  • Communicate with clients, affiliate networks and affiliate partners.
  • Assist with paid media across Social Media and Google Ad Words
  • Complete research for marketing and other departments if required
  • Support the Head of Client Relationships and Marketing with client relationship tasks

Person Specification and skills

  • Adobe Creative Suite for online banner design.
