Energy Performance Certificates

For all homes that are to be sold, the building's owner is responsible for ensuring an Energy Performance Certificate or 'EPC' is available to all prospective purchasers.

The Energy Performance Certificate should be shown, on request, to any prospective purchaser, and should in any case be provided by the owner to the ultimate purchaser before a contract for sale is made.

Energy Performance Certificates tell you how energy efficient a home is on a scale of A-G and the impact the home has on the environment. Better-rated homes should have less impact through carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

The 'EPC' includes recommendations on ways to improve the home's energy efficency to save you money and help the environment.

White Horse Surveyors will be pleased to carry out an EPC for individuals, companies or Solicitors as part of the property sale process.
