Beat the Boss – White Horse Surveyors
Last month, the team here at White Horse Surveyors appeared on BBC Radio Wiltshire to take part in their weekly radio challenge “Beat The Boss”. Taking place across five days, this friendly competition saw our Chairman Chris Freeman take on five different members of staff in an intense battle of general knowledge! The event was hosted each morning at 11:30am, on Marie Lennon’s morning show. With three questions a day for both the challenger and boss, it was a great opportunity for not only some lighthearted fun, but also to spread the word about White Horse Surveyors.
Once our appearance was confirmed, we recruited some of the office’s best candidates for each day. Our team included:
- Elizabeth Graney – Digital Marketing Manager
- James Powell – Digital Marketing Assistant
- Andrew Ellison – Director of Commercial Surveying
- Samantha Elliot – Sales Performance Manager
- Edmund French – Compliance Officer
As well as answering their three questions, each challenger was also tasked with devising a suitable forfeit for Chris, but only if the staff were able to win! After much deliberation, the team decided that Chris should have to come into the office every day next week in a different suit. A significant change from the more casual attire that he typically wears on a day-to-day basis!
As you can see from the pictures below and despite a very tense final round, the staff were ultimately victorious and beat the boss!
Chris proved to be a great sport and held true to his promise! Sporting a full suit each day for the entirety of the following week. All in all, a great bit of team building and a fantastic opportunity to promote the benefits of surveying.
