To mark our first official blog post of 2020, the team here at White Horse Surveyors are looking back at our achievements over the past year. This includes the launch of several new services, exclusive offers, charitable events and much more. Because 2019 was a such a big year for the company, we’ve put together this blog featuring all our major achievements and/or developments.
One of the most significant areas of improvement was in the expansion of our services. Over the course of the previous year, many of our existing products were refined and adapted to better suit the needs of each individual client. For example:
Desktop Extensions – This revaluation on the property’s market value was introduced to assist any clients experiencing unforeseen issues during the exchange process, prolonging the validity of the report for a further 3-months.
What’s more, these amendments to our current services also led to the introduction of several new property surveys, designed to accommodate the specific circumstances of our customers. These included:
Remote Valuations – For any customers who have issues concerning access, this affordable alternative to a full inspection provides a convenient method of obtaining a professional appraisal.
Home Condition Reports – By making use of an easy to understand traffic light system, these inexpensive reports present all the essential information as well as highlighting the severity of any identified defects.
Throughout 2019, the White Horse Surveyors workforce continued to host our seasonal fundraising events here in the office. More specifically, these comprised:
Halloween Fundraiser – As part of our long-standing relationship, we once again spent our Halloween raising funds for Dorothy House Hospice Care (a local charity based here in the South West).
Macmillan Coffee Morning – Another long-standing tradition, this year also saw our annual coffee morning and raffle take place in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Other – Earlier in the year, many members of staff also represented the company in their own projects, both personal and professional (i.e. Sponsored runs & cake sales).
In addition to these office-based fundraisers, a handful of the WHS team also attended several external events for local charities as part of our ‘Community Matters’ project. This included:
Threshold Housing Link’s ‘Big Swindon Sleep Out’ – This local event is hosted annually and designed to show solidarity for the homeless in Swindon, as well as raise funds in their support.
Springboard Chippenham – In collaboration with Mintivo, we managed to recycle £800 worth of old phone systems, helping this children’s hospital to buy new uniforms.
New Deals and Offers
Finally, some of our biggest developments of this past year included the expansion of our discounts and offers page. This primarily involved the launch of multiple seasonal reductions and deals, such as:
New Year, New Home? – An ongoing deal that offers first-time buyers a discount of up to 15% on the first 100 HomeBuyers, Building Surveys or Condition Reports that are booked and paid for, from December 16th 2019 onwards.
Black Friday – This year our team took part in the Black Friday sales, offering a 10% reduction on any surveys booked during that week.
Military & Health Service – As of 2019, we are now offering a range of discounts for any clients that are members of either the Defence Discount Service or Health Service Discounts scheme for NHS and Emergency Services workers.
Refer a Friend – We have continued to run our referral scheme, making any of our customers eligible for a free Amazon gift voucher worth a total of £30.
